Ingredients

  • 1/2 Kg ‏Chicken
  • 2 Nos ‏Onion (medium)
  • 2 Nos ‏Green chilli
  • 2 Nos ‏Tomato (medium)
  • 2 Nos ‏Capsicum
  • 2 tsp ‏Red chilli
  • 3 tsp ‏Coriander powder
  • 2 tsp ‏Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp ‏Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup ‏Coriander
  • 2 tsp ‏Kasuri methi (Fenugreek)
  • 3 tbsp ‏Oil
  • As per taste ‏Salt
  • 1 tsp ‏Garam masala
  • 2 tbsp ‏Fresh cream

Chicken cooked in creamy gravy with added flavour of fenugreek leaves.



Directions

Preparation

  1. Finely chop onion.
  2. Slit green chilli into half.
  3. Finely chop tomatoes.
  4. Cut capsicum into thick slices.
  5. Chop coriander

Method

  1. Heat oil in kadai, add onion and saute till golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Stir for a minute.
  3. Add red chilli, coriander powder and turmeric. Stir for a minute.
  4. Add tomatoes, stir and add 40ml water and simmer till the tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add chicken and stir. Add 400ml water and cook till the chicken is half cooked.
  6. Add capsicum and cook till the chicken is tender.
  7. Add kasuri methi, fresh cream, garam masala and salt. Cook for 2 more mins.
  8. Garnish with coriander. Serve hot.
