Ingredients

  • 1 Kg ‏Mutton
  • 5 Nos ‏Onion (Big)
  • 4 Nos ‏Tomatoes (Big)
  • 3 Nos ‏Green Chilli
  • 200 grams ‏Curd
  • 2 tbsp ‏Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ‏Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp ‏Black Cumin
  • 1 tsp ‏Black pepper powder
  • 2 tsp ‏Red chilli
  • 3 Nos ‏Whole red chilli
  • 3 tsp ‏Coriander Powder
  • 3 tbsp ‏Oil
  • 1/2 cup ‏Coriander leaves
  • As per taste ‏Salt

Mutton cooked in spicy gravy.



Directions

Preparation

  1. Chop Onion
  2. Finely chop tomatoes
  3. Finely chop coriander
  4. Slit green chillies
  5. Whish Curd
  6. Wash & clean mutton, keep aside.

Method

  1. Heat oil in pressure cooker, add onion & sauté till golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, stir for 2 mins.
  3. Add mutton & cook till light brown on low flame.
  4. Add red chilli, coriander powder, black pepper powder, cumin powder, black cumin seed & whole red chilli. Mix well & cook for 2 mins.
  5. Add curd, mix well and cook for 5 mins on medium flame.
  6. Add tomatoes and salt, mix well. Cook till tomatoes become soft.
  7. Add 1 cup of water & pressure cook for 4 whistles or till the mutton becomes soft and is well cooked.
  8. Let the steam escape & on low flame cook till oil starts separating.
  9. Add coriander & serve hot.
