Chicken Samosa

Ingredients:
For the filling:-
- 1 lb (½ kg) chicken kheema (ground chicken)
- 2 medium onions (chopped)
- 3-4 green chillies (chopped)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- ½ tsp garam masala
- Handful chopped mint (pudina)
- Handful chopped cilantro (coriander leaves)
- ½ tsp paprika (kashmiri red chili powder)
- ¾ tsp chaat masala
- 2 tbsp oil
For the dough:-
- 2 cups all purpose flour (maida)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp oil
- ¾-1 cup water
Method:
- Heat oil and add the onions. Saute until golden. Add chicken kheema, salt, ginger, garam masala, green chilies, mint and cilantro. Mix, cover and cook for 7-8 minutes.
- Add paprika and chaat masala. Mix well. Set aside to cool.
- Make a soft dough of all purpose flour, salt, oil and water. Roll out and cut into equal portions.
- Roll out each portion into 6” diameter. Roll those into 12” diameter thin tortilas.
- Heat both sides for 1 minute. Cut the sides and make a square. Cut that in half to make 3” piece strips each.
- Make a paste of flour and water.
- Fold the strips into triangles and fill the cooked chicken. Seal with the flour paste to make a triangle. Repeat for all the strips.
- Fry on medium heat until golden.
- Makes about 10-12 samosas.
