Kadhai Chicken

Ingredients
- 1/2 Kg Chicken
- 2 Nos Onion (medium)
- 2 Nos Green chilli
- 2 Nos Tomato (medium)
- 2 Nos Capsicum
- 2 tsp Red chilli
- 3 tsp Coriander powder
- 2 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup Coriander
- 2 tsp Kasuri methi (Fenugreek)
- 3 tbsp Oil
- As per taste Salt
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 2 tbsp Fresh cream
Chicken cooked in creamy gravy with added flavour of fenugreek leaves.
Directions
Preparation
- Finely chop onion.
- Slit green chilli into half.
- Finely chop tomatoes.
- Cut capsicum into thick slices.
- Chop coriander
Method
- Heat oil in kadai, add onion and saute till golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Stir for a minute.
- Add red chilli, coriander powder and turmeric. Stir for a minute.
- Add tomatoes, stir and add 40ml water and simmer till the tomatoes are soft.
- Add chicken and stir. Add 400ml water and cook till the chicken is half cooked.
- Add capsicum and cook till the chicken is tender.
- Add kasuri methi, fresh cream, garam masala and salt. Cook for 2 more mins.
- Garnish with coriander. Serve hot.
